Overview

The corporate training is to enhance professional practice of nurses in Orthopaedics and Traumatology for Hong Kong Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (HKAON) and Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Nursing (HKCON). The course aims to enhance the knowledge and basic care for nurses who can provide quality nursing care to orthopaedic patients and provide a training platform on basic orthopaedic nursing for nurses who are interested in this field or before taking advanced studies in orthopaedic nursing.

24.5 hours (Lectures: 20 hours, Workshops: Two identical workshops and 4 hours for every session, Assessment: 0.5 hour)

Lectures: August 2025 – October 2025 (Thursdays), 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
POP Workshop: 21 November 2025 (Friday), daytime
Assessment: 6 November 2025 (Thursday), daytime
Instructor
Qualified and experienced health care professionals specialized in orthopaedics & traumatology, and related fields.
Target Audience
Registered Nurses (General) and Enrolled Nurses (General) with at least one year of post registration experience, preferably working in orthopaedic related areas and members of HKAON.
Class Size
A maximum of 70 participants
Assessment
1. Students are expected to have 80% attendance, including the compulsory attendance in POP workshop; and
2. A passing grade in the course assessment.

Remark: Students must obtain correct answers at 50% or above in order to pass the course assessment. Each student is allowed to undertake re-examination for once ONLY.
Award
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to participants who have an attendance of not less than 80% and passed the course assessment.
